When you wrap up goodies for your own wonderfully-spoiled pets this year, it’s important to remember there are so many animals out there that need homes. This holiday season, please consider giving to organizations that aid animals in need. Here are two that we at Hepper are passionate about.
Best Friends Animal Society
The Best Friends Animal Society is a pioneer in the no-kill animal shelter movement and aims for the day when absolutely zero shelter animals are killed. At their Sanctuary located in Utah, animals receive medical attention as well as love and the ability to overcome their harsh pasts. Best Friends also works with shelters and rescue groups across the country to help raise funds, awareness and host adoption events. For more information or to donate, please visit bestfriends.org
The ASPCA is the granddaddy of animal organizations. Founded in1866, the ASPCA was the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The mission of the organization is plain and simple – the prevention of cruelty to animals. Located in New York City, the ASPCA works with other organizations across the country to rescue animals, pass humane laws and help shelters everywhere. To get involved, please visit ASPCA.org.
