In the summer of 2022, the US Department of Agriculture reported that the breeding and research facility belonging to Envigo was actively mistreating and disregarding animal welfare rights. Many Beagles in this facility were euthanized in an untimely manner and lived in neglect.

Fortunately, about 4,000 Beagle puppies are being rescued by The Humane Society and other partnering organizations. These puppies will be up for adoption and ready to be rehomed to loving families.
