Thank You, Readers, and Thank You Baby Cat (Plus: What’s Next!)

Hi, I’m Nicole! Read my introduction to learn more about me and my distinguished Burmese, Mr. Baby Cat.

It wasn’t even a year ago that I started writing stories about Baby Cat to share them with you. When I started, I knew he was an old boy but he had given us so many health scares over the years that I truly thought we had more time left with him and would be writing about him on Hepper for years to come, or at least a year.

But, I am beyond words grateful for the opportunity I had to share his quirks, our health journey with him, his passing, and mostly, his love, with all of you, and for the opportunity to document all of these experiences and emotions for myself. It truly helped my grieving process to know that I might be helping someone else with their own.

So for that, I want to say a massive thank you to all of you for reading along.

I feel as though there is not much more to be said about our little cat, at this time at least, though I of course have thousands of stories and commentaries to share about being a cat parent. So I am going to be changing the way I write for you.

I’ll be sharing some interesting news in the cat world each Friday and I hope you join along for the ride! Sometimes, there may be stories that allow me to share things about Baby Cat’s younger years or even things we experienced during his kidney disease and health decline.

I’m looking forward to this new chapter, but before I close the last one, I need to say the biggest thank you ever to my sweet darling Baby Cat, for being the best boy, magic cat, always there when we needed him most, for loving his siblings (fur and human), and for just being a cool little potato. I am so grateful to have known him and to have shared almost a decade with him. It’s true when they say that when a pet leaves us to cross the rainbow bridge, they also leave pawprints on our hearts.

See you next week!
