Finding the Right Name for Your White Dog

Naming your dog is an important step in making him a part of your family, and getting it right may seem like a tough task. Just breathe! Your little fluff ball will love whatever you pick, and we hope we have been able to help you with that task.

Tips for Naming Your Dog

  • Think of the personality your puppy has (or is likely to have). Take your time choosing a final name – spending some time with your new dog will likely give you the clarity that you need. If you haven’t brought your pup home yet, wait until you do before settling on a name.
  • One or two-syllable names are easier to say. The shorter the name, the easier it will be to train your puppy and have them become familiar with it sooner. Long-winded names like Queenie La Barks might be a bit of a mouthful and might even confuse your dog in the long run.
  • Avoid offensive or embarrassing words for names. You want your pup to be proud of their name, and not feel as though they are the butt of your jokes. You’ll also want a name that you aren’t embarrassed to tell a stranger, your vet, or call-out at the dog park. Goofy nicknames may come about, but keep those between just you and your pooch.
