Spot & Tango Dog Food Recall

As of September 6, 2022 —Spot and Tango announced it is recalling four batches of its UnKibble Dog Food product line because certain samples that had been tested had the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria
What Dog Food Products Have Been Recalled?
The lot codes and SKU numbers for affected products listed below can be found on the bottom and back of each pouch. No other Spot & Tango products or lot codes are impacted by this recall.
Lot numbers per the Enforcement Report: “LOT CODE/ SKU number T-22220 U-C-004 T-22223 U-C-005 T-22220 U-C-006, 28oz, 38oz, 47oz, 56oz“.
Cause of This Dog Food Recall
The affected product revealed the bacteria, Salmonella after testing was conducted by the FDA. The company has since ceased the distribution of the product and the FDA will continue their investigation.
What You Need to Know About Salmonella Poisoning
If your pet has Salmonella infection, they may become lethargic and have fever, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, and vomiting. Some less obvious side affects decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. If you pet has become infected but is still otherwise healthy they can still be carriers of Salmonella and infect other animals or humans. If you know your pet has consumed the recalled product, or is currently experiencing any these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian immediately..
