Sunshine Mills Inc. Recall
As of September 2, 2020 — Sunshine Mills, Inc has voluntarily recalled three of its dog food products due to levels of Aflatoxin that are potentially above the acceptable limit.

Cause of This Dog Food Recall
The potential for contamination was discovered during a routine check. The results of the sampling showed a single 4-pound bag of one lot of the product contained elevated levels of aflatoxin.
The have been no illnesses reported in relation to these products, and no other Sunshine Mills, Inc. pet food products are affected by this recall.
Although no animals have been affected by this recall, Sunshine Mills, Inc. has decided to issue a voluntary recall of these products as a precautionary measure.
What You Need to Know About Aflatoxin Poisoning
If your pet that has consumed any of the recalled products and are showing any symptoms of aflatoxin including sluggishness or lethargy combined with a lack of appetite, vomiting, yellow tint in eyes or gums, or diarrhea should be taken to a veterinarian.
The affected products were distributed in retail stores across the country.
There are no other Family Pet, Heartland Farms, or Paws Happy Life products or other lot codes of these products affected by this precautionary recall.
What to do Next
Consumers who have purchased the recalled items mentioned above should stop the use of the product immediately and may return the unused portion to the place of purchase for a full refund.
