Dr. Joanna Woodnutt
Joanna is an experienced vet working mainly with companion animals. Whilst she still works two days a week for a local practice, Joanna realized that she could help more people if she wrote down some of the things she talked about in her consultations. She now spends most of her time writing about pet health for a range of magazines and websites, so that people all over the world can learn more about their pets. Joanna is director of The Veterinary Content Team that’s responsible for all our helpful information!
Dr. Paola Cuevas

Her passion is animal welfare and focuses on the importance of preventive medicine. Paola has skills in the fields of nutrition, microscopy, clinical pathology, diagnostic imaging, and endoscopy as well as extensive experience in animal training through positive reinforcement. As our in-house veterinarian, Paola is very happy to share her knowledge and experience with our readers and hopes to be helpful with any issue presented by your non-human family members.
Dr. Rebecca MacMillan
Rebecca is a companion animal vet who has always had a passion for writing and client communication. She currently works in the South West and deals with a variety of routine and emergency appointments, but particularly enjoys medicine cases. Outside of work and writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her bouncy flat-coated retriever, George!
Dr. Maureen Kanana Murithi
Maureen is a licensed veterinarian based in Nairobi, Kenya. Maureen also holds a masters of science degree in Epidemiology. Maureen worked in the veterinary field for over a decade with a keen interest in small animal medicine. She also has experience in the research field and has managed to publish part of her research in human medicine.
Dr. Chyrle Bonk
Chyrle Bonk graduated from Oregon State University in 2010 and has practiced in a mixed animal clinic ever since. Dr. Greg Steele
MA VetMB MRCVS
Greg graduated from the University of Cambridge over five years ago. Since then, he has been working in mixed-species practice in the UK. He enjoys working with all species, great and small!
