The 13 Types of Bulldog Breeds
1. The English bulldog
When you hear the word “bulldog,” that may be the image you think of first. Their famous wrinkled face and stocky body have left their mark on dog lovers around the world. These sturdy canines are short but balanced, and weigh on average between 22 and 25 kilos.
Although they can have a slightly intimidating appearance due to their body type, they are quite docile and affectionate. Most are laid back and nonchalant, which makes them patient and affectionate companions to children. They are excellent companions, very sociable and pleasant to be around.

2. The Olde English Bulldogge
Many think that the English bulldog and the Olde English bulldogge are the same dogs and this is not the case. In fact, it is a cross between an English mastiff, an American bulldog, an English bulldog and a pitbull terrier. As adults, these brutes weigh between 27 and 59 kg.
Although they are friendly in temperament, they are guarded, defensive and protective of their owners. They have an Alpha temperament, so it is important to show them that you are the boss from a young age to establish the hierarchy in the house.

3. The French bulldog

6. Le bulldog victorien

Ils conservent une apparence très similaire, ce qui les rend presque indiscernables de leurs cousins anglais. À l’âge adulte, ils pèsent entre 22 et 34 kilos.
Il s’agit d’un croisement entre un bulldog anglais, un bull terrier, un bull mastiff et un staffordshire terrier. Ce chien a la même personnalité joyeuse, le même caractère calme et les mêmes bourrelets que le bulldog anglais. Il est également très affectueux et intuitif sur le plan émotionnel.
L’espérance de vie de cette race est de 12-14 ans. En raison de leur élevage sélectif, les problèmes de santé qu’ils peuvent rencontrer sont beaucoup plus rares. La seule préoccupation restante concerne les problèmes de peau, tels que les allergies et les infections.
7. Le catahoula bulldog
Étant l’hybride du bulldog américain et du léopard catahoula, ce chien a hérité du meilleur des deux mondes. Il est connu pour son pelage aux multiples couleurs, ses yeux intensément vifs et son comportement agréable.
