Use Your Imagination!

Before you decide on a specific name, try saying it out loud. See how it rolls off the tongue—pretend you’re calling to your cat. Sometimes hearing the name out loud can confirm that it’s a great name or can make you realize that you should keep looking.

To really set yourself apart, consider adding an honorific to your cat’s name. Remember Colonel Meow? That’s definitely a cute and original name, and you can try the same. Here are a few titles here for you to choose from if you are so inclined.

  • Colonel
  • Dame
  • General
  • Her Majesty
  • His Majesty
  • King
  • Madame
  • Miss
  • Prince
  • Princess
  • Professor

How to Name Your Cat

One of the easiest ways to give your cat a K name is to look at baby-naming books or online resources, which are traditionally alphabetical. But if you’re looking for something unique, we have a few tips to get you started.

For one thing, you can use your cat’s coloring. While not many colors start with K, you could turn one into a K name. For example, if you have an orange tabby, you could call them Karrot; the spelling gives it a unique twist.

Also, think about your favorite artists: musicians, authors, or actors. Consider your favorite movies and TV shows and the characters that you appreciate.

You can also be inspired by your cat’s unique personality; if they are a little wild, call them Kooky. Try to consider all aspects of your cat, both in how they look and how they act, along with other things that resonate with you, like your favorite song.

Conclusion

This list has many K names but there’s still more out there. A thesaurus can also give you a wealth of different words to choose from. Try out baby name databases and think about all your favorite things. If you like the sound of a name but aren’t sure about what it means or how to pronounce it, just look it up!

Finally, check out last names too; there are awesome surnames that start with K that could make a great moniker for your lucky kitty.
