Bed Bath and Beyond has long been a one-stop shop for everything from bedding to door mats and vacuums to cooking essentials. We’ve had the dog in the car quite a few times, only to realize we needed to stop by Bed Bath and Beyond to pick up a few things.

So, can we take our pup with us, or do we have to go home and come back? Luckily, Bed Bath and Beyond is one of the most pet-friendly stores, and they allow dogs to go inside with their owners.

This is a very dog-friendly store, from the wide aisles to some of the stores offering buggies you can put your dog in to shop. We’ll examine Bed Bath and Beyond’s pet policy and some things you should know about taking your dog inside.

What Is the Pet Policy at Bed Bath and Beyond?

It’s hard to find a clearly defined pet policy for this store on its website or social media platforms. We found that Bed Bath Beyond leaves the pet policy up to each individual store, as long as that store follows local, state, and federal regulations for the area they are located in.

While this is terrific news for pet owners, there are a few rules you need to follow if you want your dog to be allowed in these stores.

Bed Bath and Beyond Pet Rules

Of course, you’ll first want to call the location you want to take your dog to and ask if they allow pets. If the answer is yes, then follow the rules below.

You must keep your dog on a leash at all times, and the leash should be no longer than 6 feet in length. The leash needs to be held by the dog’s owner at all times.

Your dog must also be well-behaved and potty-trained, and you’ll be asked to leave the store if the dog isn’t well-behaved. It’s best to take your dog outside to use the bathroom before you take them into the store, and if the dog has an accident, you should clean it up and alert the staff immediately so that they can sanitize the area.

It’s important to realize that the ability to take your furry friend into Bed Bath and Beyond with you to shop isn’t a right; it’s a privilege that can be revoked if the animal doesn’t behave the way it should.

What Types of Dogs Are Allowed in Bed Bath and Beyond?

Some stores only allow service dogs, but Bed Bath and Beyond is more accommodating.

Here’s a list of the types of pets it allows:
  • Service dogs
  • Pet dogs
  • Other types of service animals
  • Emotional support dogs
  • Other types of emotional support animals

It is up to the manager at each location as to which animals are allowed inside, if they are at all.
