Off-leash dog parks are a great way for your beloved dog to get in some much-needed socialization while expending all that pent-up energy. You can either sit back and relax, join in on the fun, or even spend some time with fellow dog lovers as your pooch plays around.

Finding the perfect puppy playground is essential, so we scoured Dallas to bring you a list of amazing dog parks within the city. Not only does the Dallas Park and Recreation Department have five off-leash dog parks located throughout Dallas but there are also several more worth checking out, take a look:

1. White Rock Lake Dog Park

🗺️ Address: 📍 8000 E Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75218
🕐 Open Times: Tuesday – Sunday
💲 Cost: Free
🐕 Off-Leash: Yes
  • White Rock Lake Dog Park is closed every Monday for maintenance and will close down on rainy days.
  • The large dog paddock is 2 acres.
  • The small dog paddock is 1 acre.
  • Features benches, picnic tables, a pet waste station, dog drinking bowls, and a drinking fountain.
  • Shaded areas are available in both paddocks.

2. Crockett Dog Park

  • Located in old east Dallas at the corner of Victor Street and North Carroll Avenue.

3. Credit Union of Texas Dog Park

  • This is an off-leash dog park, bar, and grill that caters to canines and humans.
  • Let your dog run and play while you enjoy a meal and some drinks.
  • Day passes, monthly memberships, and annual memberships are available.
  • Dogs must be spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPC, and Bordetella.)
  • Dogs must be on a leash in the patio area or while entering and exiting the dog park.

5. Wagging Tail Dog Park

  • Wagging Tail is a 6.9-acre dog park located in North Dallas.
  • The dog park is closed on rainy days and every Monday for maintenance.
  • Features a 6-foot-wide looped walking trail.
  • There is a large dog area, a small dog area, and a nature observation platform.
  • There are pet waste stations, benches, picnic tables, grills, drinking fountains, and plenty of shade.

6. Meadows Dog Park

  • Meadows Dog Park does not have separate large and small dog areas.
  • There’s no drinking fountain available, so don’t forget to pack water and bowls.
  • Features nice white picket fencing but be careful of small dogs sneaking underneath.
  • This is a nice, well-maintained dog park adjacent to Central Square Park.

7. NorthBark Dog Park

  • NorthBark Dog Park is a 22.3 acre in far North Dallas near the North Dallas Tollway and the President George Bush Tollway.

  • The off-leash area is closed on rainy days and every Monday for maintenance.
  • NorthBark features a lake area, trails, and doggy showers to clean your pooch up.

8. Bark Park Central

  • There are shaded areas, drinking bowls, waste stations, and a doggy shower.
  • This dog park is closed every Tuesday for maintenance and also closes on rainy days.

9. My Best Friend’s Park

  • Located at the southwest corner of Pearl Street and Woodall Rodgers Freeway.
  • There is plenty of room to run and large mature trees for shade.
  • There is artwork displayed on the street corner next to the dog park for owners to enjoy.
  • Features pet-grade turf and no interactive water features to keep things as clean as possible.

  • Enjoy this off-leash dog run located in family-friendly Main Street Garden Park in downtown Dallas.

  • It features some agility equipment, shaded areas, and seating for humans.
  • This is a great small area for your dog to get some exercise while you visit the park.
