Located just 10 miles southwest of downtown St. Louis is the city of Webster Groves, Missouri. This is a predominantly residential community that is known as one of the safest places in the greater St. Louis area with a long-standing history in arts, music, and culture.
If you are a dog-lover who either lives in the area or is just passing through, you may have your sights set on finding the perfect dog park to kick back and let your pup socialize with other dogs and expend some of that pent-up energy.
Webster Groves does not have any off-leash dog parks inside city limits, but many nearby dog parks are worth checking out. If you aren’t familiar with the St. Louis area, you should know that it’s made up of mostly membership-only dog parks, but don’t worry, there are still some that the public can visit free of charge.
Here’s a look at 10 amazing off-leash dog parks near Webster Groves and some additional information about each park.
The 10 Off-Leash Dog Parks Near Webster Groves, MO
Weekdays: $10 for the first dog ($5 for each additional)
Weekends: $15 for the first dog ($5 for each additional)

Just a 10-minute drive from Webster Groves via I44 and you will find Bar K, which is a very unique place to visit featuring a modern bar, restaurant, event space, and an off-leash dog park.
Any dog visiting Bar K must be current on vaccinations including Rabies, DHLPP/Da2PP, and Bordetella.
As long as your pup is at least 12 weeks of age and properly socialized for group play, they can join in the fun.
Puppies younger than 6 months and under 25 pounds are limited to the Small Dog Park or an on-leash patio until they meet the age and size requirement for the All Dog Park.
They also have an onsite doggie daycare, grooming, and training facility called “Stay! at Bar K” which is managed by Kennelwood Pet Resorts.
City Residents: $52 first dog — $15 for each additional dog
Non-city Residents: $15 for each additional dog
SNA Members: $15 for each additional dog

Southwest City Dog Park is a popular spot for dog lovers in the St. Louis area located less than 7 miles from the heart of Webster Groves.
This is a membership-only dog park, and you must submit an application to get started.
Southwest City Dog Park memberships are valid from January 1st – December 31st and there they do not offer any prorates or refunds.
Dogs must be at least 4 months old to enter and have proof of current Rabies and Bordetella vaccines that were administered by a licensed veterinarian.
Children are allowed at this dog park, but they must be at least 8 years of age.
Johns Community Dog Park is one of the only free dog parks in the St. Louis area that does not require a membership. There’s just a limit of 2 dogs per person.
This is a great place for travelers or St. Louis area residents to bring their pups for some exercise and socialization. No children under the age of 13 are permitted inside the dog park.
They feature a separate area for small dogs (under 35 pounds) and large dogs, benches for the humans to hang out while the pups play, and bags and waste bins for cleanup.
The area is well-maintained and there is plenty of shade when you need to get out of that hot summer sun.
All dogs must be licensed, up to date on current vaccinations, and wearing their tags.
Non-Residents: $40 per dog per year; plus $20 for each additional dog

Irv Zeid Park is a 5-acre park just 6 miles north of Webster Groves. It features multi-use fields, a volleyball court, picnic tables, pavilions with barbecue facilities, and an off-leash dog park.
For use of the dog park, you must sign up as a member so your dog can use the off-leash area.
Dogs must have a current city dog license and must be spayed or neutered.
Always carry a leash and clean up after your dog during your visit. Bring your own poop bags and water in case the park’s supply is running low.
Children under 12 years of age are not permitted inside the fenced area. Any children 13 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Tails & Trails Dog Park at Queeny Park is about a 20-minute drive or so from the Webster Groves area.
Requires a membership or day pass. For members, there is a maximum of 3 dogs per family and the cost is $15 per dog.
This 5-acre park features separate areas for large and small dogs, two water features, four agility and skill stations, watering stations, and a pavilion with WiFi.
Biodegradable waste bags and disposal containers are available at the park, and you must clean up after your dog.
Proof of spay or neuter and a copy of up-to-date vaccinations including Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella is required.
There is no shortage of amazing dog parks within a 20-minute drive of the Webster Groves area. Most require memberships but the closest off-leash dog park to Webster Groves at Deer Creek Park is free of charge and is great for both area residents and travelers to have a wonderful day out with their dogs. Regardless of your preference, you’re sure to find a place that your pooch will appreciate.
