Are Dogs Allowed at Orange Beach?

Orange Beach is a pet-friendly beach in Alabama that encourages you to bring your dogs and cats to spend time on the beach. The large park has plenty of shade, so it’s easy to stay cool on a hot day, and your dog can even get into the water and swim. It’s also a great place to take a long walk with your pet on the soft sand, and your dog can even make new friends because it can get quite busy with other dogs just before sunset.

  • Your pet will need to stay on a leash while entering and exiting the beach, and you will need to keep the leash with you at all times.
  • Your dog will need to be up to date on all vaccinations to use the beach.
  • All dogs must be healthy and free of illness.
  • Female dogs in heat cannot use the beach.
  • The dog must be under voice control at all times and be well-behaved.
  • Pets are only allowed on the bayside beach and must stay off the gulf side.
  • You will need to clean up after your dog, and you will need to bring bags to collect the waste and dispose of it, as no bags are provided.

What Activities Are Available at Orange Beach?

The large beach at Orange Beach contains two restroom buildings, so it’s never a long walk when nature calls. Seven picnic structures have grills so you can make food, and they also provide shade and shelter from the rain. There are paved paths that enable you to get out of the sand and a large playground with swings and climbing areas that will keep your children busy for hours. There is even a pier that provides spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
