Our Experience with Popov Leather’s Dog Collar and Leash

I had the pleasure of trying out Popov Leather’s dog collar and leash for my Goldendoodle Micah, and I can confidently say that we love their products!

One of my favorite things about the collar is the custom sizing. Micah has a 17-inch neck, which puts him between sizes on most size charts, making it difficult to find a collar that fits. I also frequently adjust his collar depending on how long his doodle fluff is, and not all collars are adjustable. With Popov Leather, the collar is cut to your dog’s measurements, which meant I could choose Micah’s exact size and know it would fit perfectly. The collar also comes with holes like a belt, so I can easily adjust it when he gets a haircut. There’s also an option to engrave the collar with a name or address. While I love the idea of engraving, I went for a classic look with no engraving.

Micah loves receiving packages in the mail (especially when they’re for him) and was so excited to wear the collar. After I buckled the collar around his neck, he spun around with his tail wagging and then sat down looking proud. Needless to say, I think he felt as handsome as he looked. Since Micah has never worn a leather collar, I wasn’t sure if he would like the material. But after watching him strut around and nap with it on, I’m happy to say he’s loving it.

I found the leather leash to be comfortable as well. The material is soft to hold and easy to grip, and the length is perfect for walks and hikes. I’ve used four-foot leashes in the past but appreciated the additional foot with Popov Leather’s leash to give Micah extra space to sniff. I also love how the Heritage Brown color perfectly complements Micah’s fur and has a rugged look, especially since we spend a lot of time outdoors. I did have some difficulty opening the brass clip on the leash, which made it hard to clip onto his collar, but it’s only a minor inconvenience and doesn’t change my view of the products or the company.

Micah likes to play hard, and we live in an area that rains and snows, so finding high-quality, durable products is important to us, and finding them at a reasonable price is always a bonus.
