It used to be difficult to find a quality CBD oil for your dog. Today, these products are everywhere, and I’ve tested quite a few of them. Despite all those choices, I’ve still had difficulty finding a cost-effective option for therapeutic dosing.

Here is an overview of Bailey’s CBD Oil for Dogs, which I had the opportunity to try out on my own doggies. Below, we’ll look at the ingredients, extraction process, dosage, and what to expect when you use this product.

Ingredients

Each bottle of Bailey’s CBD Oil for Dogs contains just two ingredients.

The first is full-spectrum hemp extract. This oil is naturally high in CBD (60%), terpenes, and other beneficial cannabinoids. All these powerful compounds work together to help bring homeostasis to your dog’s endocannabinoid system.

The second ingredient used is fractionated coconut oil.

Regardless of whether you get the 0.5-ounce, 1-ounce, or 2-ounce bottle, each contains 10mg of CBD per 1 ml. Since the recommended dose of CBD is between 1mg and 5mg per 10 pounds of body weight, this concentration makes the math very easy.

For example, a 10-pound dog on a low-maintenance dose would get 2 drops, twice daily. A 10-pound dog on a high therapeutic dose would get ½ ml, twice daily.

Bailey’s recommends starting with a dose of 1mg per 10 pounds of body weight and slowly increasing it after a week, if needed.

What to Expect

Our Experience With Bailey’s CBD Oil for Dogs

I have been using CBD products for my two senior dogs for quite a while now.

My thirteen-year-old Dalmatian mix, Ragz, has been dealing with sore joints for the last couple of years. And my fourteen-year-old Chihuahua, Papyrus, has always had anxiety issues and now has very sore hips.

My problem has always been finding a concentrated CBD product that I could easily give to both dogs despite their different doses. With Bailey’s CBD Oil for Dogs, I think I finally found the right option.

Not only does this product contain full-spectrum oil for more effective pain relief, but it also contains enough CBD per milliliter for easy dosing.

Too little CBD per milliliter and I have to add a ton of oil to my dogs’ meals to get the right dose. Too much, and I find it hard to give Papyrus the correct amount without overdoing it.

But for me—and other multi-pet households looking for therapeutic doses of CBD—Bailey’s was perfect.

I gave Papyrus ⅓ ml at each meal and Ragz 1 ml at each meal. Given their age and pain issues, I’ve found the higher end of the dosing spectrum works best for them.

Both dogs took to Bailey’s very easily and had no problem eating it along with their breakfast. I put their nightly dose on a dog bone before bed and they have had no problems gobbling that up.

After switching to Bailey’s from a lower-concentration product, the results came very quickly. Ragz went from limping on our walks to being able to finish them strong with energy to spare after just one week on the product. Papyrus seemed to be in less pain, too, and was much more playful than normal after just a few days on Bailey’s.

Both dogs also sleep better when they get their bedtime dose of Bailey’s CBD. Many seniors have issues sleeping through the night and I can’t recommend this solution enough.

I am a big fan of the easy-to-read measurement markers Bailey’s puts on their pipettes. And I appreciate the pure organic hemp oil and MCT oil carrier. I also love the price tag of this product, which makes consistent daily use much less of a burden on the wallet.
