May 22, 2026 – Raaw Energy Dog Food of Howell, New Jersey, announced a voluntary recall of products manufactured between 7/17/25 and 12/23/25 due to potential contamination with Listeria. An additional batch dated 3/31/26 for the Beef and Turkey Medley recipe was also included in the recall.
While not all products from this production period tested positive, some items manufactured during these dates were not tested. Because bacterial contamination was identified within the same timeframe, any products produced during these dates may potentially be affected.

There is a risk to humans from handling contaminated foods, especially if they have not washed their hands after coming into contact with the products or surfaces that have been exposed to these pet foods.

Can Humans Contract Listeria From Dogs?
Listeria monocytogenes is a zoonotic bacteria, meaning it can spread between animals and humans. Dogs may carry or shed the bacteria through saliva, stool, or contaminated food, even if they do not appear sick.
